Remove an Intimate Image

Submit a Request

Email legal@townchirp.com with the subject Urgent Intimate Image Removal Request. Do not attach or forward the intimate image, especially if anyone depicted may be under 18.

Include all of the following in writing:

1. Your full name and an electronic signature, such as “/s/ Full Name.”
2. A statement that you are the person depicted, or identify the person you are authorized to represent.
3. The TownChirp Photo ID shown beneath the image. If it is unavailable, provide a job, chat, message, report, customer, or responder reference ID and the approximate date.
4. A brief statement that you have a good-faith belief the identified content was shared without the depicted person's consent, with any relevant context.
5. An email address or telephone number where TownChirp can contact you.

If you are signed in, also report the specific message in the app and choose Sexual or intimate content and Intimate image shared without consent. Include the resulting report ID in your email if available.

A Photo ID is only a reference. It does not make the image public and does not grant anyone permission to view or delete it.

What TownChirp Will Do

We will acknowledge the request and assign a reference number. After receiving a valid request, TownChirp will remove the identified content and make reasonable efforts to locate and remove known identical copies on TownChirp within 48 hours. We will tell you when removal is complete or explain why the request could not be completed.

TownChirp may retain only the limited records reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or a valid legal hold. The content will not remain available to ordinary users after removal.

If the Image Involves Someone Under 18

Do not download, copy, or send the image to make a report. If the file is already on your device, NCMEC's Take It Down service can create a digital fingerprint without uploading the image. You can also contact the NCMEC CyberTipline or call 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-843-5678).

If the Image Depicts an Adult

Adults may also use StopNCII.org to create a hash that participating services can use to help prevent redistribution. A request to another service does not replace a direct TownChirp removal request when the content appears on TownChirp.

Immediate Danger

TownChirp is not an emergency service. If anyone is in immediate danger, call 911 or the appropriate local emergency service. An email or in-app report does not contact emergency services.
