Community Safety Standards

TownChirp connects customers and service professionals. Everyone must communicate honestly, respect boundaries, and use the platform only for lawful services.

Harassment and Threats

Do not:

Ordinary disagreement, criticism, or a single impolite comment may not justify account action unless it includes another violation.

Spam and Unwanted Contact

Scams and Fraud

Sexual and Intimate Content

TownChirp may preserve and report apparent child sexual exploitation as required by law. A person depicted in intimate content, or an authorized representative, can use our dedicated removal process whether or not they have a TownChirp account.

Immediate Danger and Self-Harm

Do not make credible threats of violence, encourage suicide or self-harm, facilitate trafficking or abduction, or use TownChirp to plan imminent serious harm.

TownChirp is not an emergency service. An in-app report does not contact police or emergency services. If anyone may be in immediate danger, call 911 or the appropriate local emergency service.

Other Prohibited Conduct

Do not use TownChirp for unlawful goods or services, exploitation, hate-based attacks, impersonation, malicious software, theft, or conduct that creates a material safety risk for users or the public.

Reporting, Blocking, and Privacy

Users may report a user, message, post, profile, or job and may block another user. Reports are allegations and do not guarantee removal or account action. TownChirp reviews relevant content and context and ordinarily does not reveal the reporter's identity to the reported user. Exceptions may apply when disclosure is required by law, necessary for a fair appeal, or described in the Privacy Policy.

Do not submit deliberately false, retaliatory, or abusive reports.

Enforcement and Appeals

TownChirp considers the evidence, severity, apparent intent, repetition, risk of harm, prior confirmed violations, and applicable law. Actions may include education or a warning, content removal, feature restrictions, temporary suspension, permanent account termination, evidence preservation, or legally authorized disclosure.

A severe first violation may result in permanent removal. Repeated lower-level violations may result in progressively stronger restrictions. The number of reports alone does not establish a violation.

When safety and law permit, TownChirp will identify the policy category behind an account action and provide a reasonable way to appeal. An appeal is reviewed using the available evidence and these Standards.
